• An intelligent and closed eco-system that allows a further saving of 24%.
• The conscious behaviour of users, for example, their responsible choice of a proper washing cycle brings a 10% saving of resources.
• Internal power generation and consumption brought about by the intra-system enhances more efficient use of household electricity. This will save GREENKITCHEN another 20% in energy.

In conclusion, GREEN KITCHEN saves up to 70% energy than conventional appliances.

GREEN KITCHEN is composed of innovative equipment that sets new standards in terms of efficiency and user-friendliness.

The H2O saver dishwasher is connected directly with the eco-system. Runoff water is collected under the sink, cleaned and fed directly into a water tank and collected. The collected water is then used for dishwashing, saving up to 2,000 liters of water per year.

Heat and water are resources that can be optimally reduced with the right equipment. The optimum H2O cooker has an intelligent sensor technology that significantly reduces the consumption of resources by using only the exact amount of water that is required. The H2O cooker, an entirely new product, possesses sensors for the weight or quantity of food, including pastas, and governs the optimum amount of water to a boil. The cooking or steaming process controls the device independently and only consumes as much energy as needed.

An entirely new and revolutionary development is the induction oven, which takes advantage of the induction technology and enables an energy saving of up to 30% and a time savings of up to 25%.

The heart of GREEN KITCHEN 2.0 is the Resource Assistant, a digital instrument specifically for the kitchen, which shows and monitors the energy data of the appliances. The device provides at-a-glance information both on power consumption of individual devices and means of energy saving.

Intelligent Networking

Not only do individual units make impressive savings, so do their intelligent combination. This allows much more effective use of water and energy. In every household, about 200 litres of water flows unused into the drain. GREEN KITCHEN is equipped with a system that separates clean water from polluted ones and stores it in a tank for reuse later (for example in the dishwasher). This water is heated by waste heat from the refrigerator compressor, so that the dish requires even less energy.

The future has already begun.

Different developmental items in the GREEN KITCHEN project such as the Green Intelligence technology is already helping Bauknecht appliances with resource saving. At the same time, we are working hard to make the revolutionary innovations of GREEN KITCHEN ready for production. The pioneering project is the proud winner of numerous accolades, which among others include: the 2011 Clean Tech Award, the iF Design Award 2009, and the 2009 Kitchen Innovation Award.
